We at Wayfare Culture chatted with some friends who recently visited Italy, Amsterdam and Dubai to find out what travelling in the time of COVID-19 is like and what you need to know for your December holidays.  Leaving South Africa  South African airports are operating like the rest of the country is. So you’ll need to wear a mask. Try to find a comfy one because you’re going to be wearing it non-stop for a few hours now depending on where you’re travelling to. Your temperature will be taken as you enter the airport and you’ll have to show a negative COVID-19 test that’s no more than 72 hours old.  The Flight Unfortunately, social distancing is limited when you’re sitting right next to someone on an aeroplane so you’ll have to keep your mask on for the duration of your flight. You can take it off while you’re eating or drinking but that’s it.
